Ruth and Marvin’s work The art of typewriting delves into a small but incredibly robust portion of their collection. A full-color work featuring some of the many typewriter pieces in their Archive, the book begins with some incredibly useful background information on how the Archive came into being before progressing into an explanation of the history of typewriting and the background and works of the artists featured within. Unfortunately, Ruth passed away just before the work was published and distributed. While Marvin was able to sign most copies of the book as intended, Ruth’s name was stamped inside instead.

The book is open to a random page featuring several art pieces created by using a typewriter. The colors are primarily red and black and the words are typed into various designs, such as a diamond or dandelion.
