Iowa has a rich history of girls and women participating in sports, thanks in part to 6-on-6 basketball. The Iowa Women’s Archives wants to make certain this history is not lost.

Did you play 6-on-6 or 5-on-5 basketball?
Did you play other sports–on a team or with friends and family?
Did you cheer on your local team?

There are so many stories yet to be told. Please help us gather this important history.
