Scope and Contents: Primarily ATCA administrative files containing a vast amount of information on the sources of the ATCA collections and detailed records regarding grants won by and exhibitions curated by ATCA staff prior to 2000.

“The Mid-America College Art Conference,” “The Second Intermedia Festival,” and “The Artist and Television”: All three events were held Oct. 20-23, 1982, in Iowa City by the School of Art and Art History.

1983

“Dada: the Art of Anti-art”: Exhibited Feb. 1983, at California State University.  One folder includes checklist and misc. correspondence.  Stephen C. Foster and Estera Milman contributed.

1984

“The Book Project”: Exhibition and conference planned for 1984-1985.  Project Coordinator Estera Milman.

“Fluxus: A Workshop Series”: Held Nov, 1984-May, 1985 in Iowa City.  Directed by Stephen C. Foster and Coordinated by Estera Milman.

“Media Consortium”: Held in 1988. Directed by Estera Milman and Kathy Rae Huffman.

 

“The World According to Dada”:  Opened June 4, 1988 at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.  Curated by Stephen C. Foster.  A conference on the exhibition was held at the Taipei in July 1987.

“Ten Years on Broadway: Fluxus 1982-1992”: Exhibited [1992?] at the Emily Harvey Gallery.  One folder includes checklists and misc. correspondence.

Records for CIAO - a grant-funded consortium of several institutions including Iowa -- that worked to develop cataloging standards for conceptual art materials similar to those that compose the bulk of the ATCA collections.
