1918 -- Enlisted at Great Lakes Naval Training Station for duty during World War I

1919 -- Discharged from navy

1920 -- 1922 -- University of Denver, marriage, and start of Insurance Agency in Fort Dodge

1924 -- 1925 -- Commander of American Legion Post

1924 -- 1938 -- Drummer and assistant manager of drum corps

1926 -- National champion drum corps

1927 -- American Legion national convention, Paris, France

1940 -- Member of the Board of Education of Fort Dodge

1945 -- Appointed to Iowa State Conservation Commission

1949 -- Chairman of the Conservation Commission and appointment to the Iowa Natural Resources Council

1951 -- Reappointment to the Conservation Commission

1955 -- Lions Club Community Service Award

1957 -- End of service with the Conservation Commission and the Resources Council

1960 -- Retirement from insurance business

1962 -- Republican candidate for State Representative from Webster County

1966 -- Kiwanis Club's Golden Rule award and project director of the Fort Dodge Neighborhood Youth Corps
