This inventory was compiled by Mary Bennett in 1980 as part of her inventory of the larger collection of Bertha M.H. Shambaugh photographs in the collections of the State Historical Society of Iowa. The two volumes labeled "Photographic Record" are, however, held by the University of Iowa Libraries.

"Son" = Benjamin Shambaugh Horack, BMHS's brother's son and BFS's namesake
